Yukiko Bates specializes in providing cooking instruction and exclusive in-home dining experiences. Her enthusiastic and engaging style has made her a much sought after chef for private events in central Ohio, and her distinct ability to facilitate collaboration makes her uniquely qualified in leading team building exercises. In addition to conducting private cooking classes and teaching at Sur la Table, Yukiko writes Epicurean Essentials, a newsletter to help individuals gain more confidence and skill in the kitchen. Yukiko spends a great deal of her free time working in the garden, expanding her knowledge of food’s impact on health and the environment, volunteers for non-profit and community groups, and is a member of the American Culinary Federation, Women Chefs and Restaurateurs and Six Degrees Networking. Yukiko resides in central Ohio with her husband and their Jack Russell terrier.
